On the 29th, 30th and 31st of October the Mexican Congress of Archives and Private Libraries took place. The event was held as part of the 20th Anniversary of the Mexican Association of Private Libraries and Archives. It gathered more than thirty institutions which are undertaking extraordinary efforts to preserve Mexico’s cultural heritage.

The congress took place in Eugenio Garza Sada Center in Monterrey. The center, which used to be the home of the Tecnológico de Monterrey founder, was created with the purpose of promoting human development.

The Center for the Study of Mexican History Carso was among the participating institutions. Dr. Ramos, the director of CEHM, presented “Scanning of the Center for the Study of Mexican History Carso.”

The CEHM seeks the preservation of printed work and documentation of Mexican history, from the colonial era to the present. It has over 500 funds and around 1,330,000 images scanned with Janium’s help.
